DFINITY, the non-profit behind the Internet Computer network, has launched alpha testing for Caffeine—an AI-driven platform that converts natural language prompts into functional applications. The system, demonstrated live in San Francisco, eliminates coding and cloud configuration barriers, enabling users to create software through plain English descriptions.
The initiative targets the vast disparity between global internet users (5 billion) and software developers (under 50 million). Caffeine automates backend logic, deployment, and updates, positioning itself as a tool for mass creativity. "Caffeine unlocks the creative potential of five billion people," asserts DFINITY Founder Domini Williams, signaling a shift toward democratized innovation.
